Mr. Thursday

Senior Bobby Felmy hit the go-ahead 2-run single in the bottom of the 8th inning to lead Georgia to a 10-9 win over Kentucky. The Bulldogs have now won 13 in a row and are now 2 games behind Kentucky in the SEC East with 2 games remaining. The Dawgs trailed throughout the game 6-0 and 8-2. Josh Morris belted 2 home runs in the game, but it was Felmy who got the game-winning hit again. Last Thursday he got the game-winning double vs Georgia Tech. After tonight's game, Felmy talked to me.

Dave McMahon -- Tell me about the big hit in the 8th inning?

Bobby Felmy -- Well I took the first pitch up the middle, the 2nd pitch was a slider and I didn't get a good swing... the next pitch I hit it up the middle and I ran as hard as I could. I knew they couldn't beat me.

DM -- Josh Morris hit 2 home runs today, and in the 8th they walked him to get to you... your thoughts on walking Morris?

BF -- It kind of made me mad, because it's like they respect Mo (Morris), but they think they can get me out.

DM -- What can you tell me about Josh's performance tonight?

BF -- He was great. It couldn't happen to a better person. He is a great friend and teammate on and off the field.

DM -- Did Coach Perno say anything to the team in the dugout when he was thrown out of the game?

BF -- I don't know... I was on third base.

DM -- Is this the biggest comeback that you have been a part of?

BF -- It ranks up there. It took almost a full inning before I could calm myself down after the hit.

DM -- Tell us about this team that can come back after a 6-0 deficit in the 2nd inning?

BF -- We are not going to go away. It shows a lot about our team that we did not give up. This team is unbelievable.

DM -- What's next?

BF -- We have to win tomorrow. Give us a chance.

DM -- Thank you and good luck in the rest of the series.
