Dawgs Make Cut for Coveted OL

With a hectic May Evaluation Period coming to an end, Lamar Milstead is prepared to head into the summer with a solid favorites list. Milstead is one of the more heavily recruited offensive linemen on the East Coast.

"I have a top four actually – North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia," said Lamar Milstead. "I've talked to the coaches of all four and I've met them, and they're all great guys. I like all the programs – I like how they're ran. On top of that, they all have nice campus – the one's I've seen."

Milstead revealed that he does indeed have a leader, but isn't quite ready to divulge who that is at this point.

Georgia is the only campus in Milstead's top four that he has yet to unofficially visit. He will change that with an unofficial trip to Athens in the upcoming weeks. He also plans to unofficially visit North Carolina this weekend, and camp at Virginia over the summer.

In addition to the members of his favorites list, Milstead holds scholarship offers from Auburn, Boston College, Mississippi, NC State, and Temple.

All nine of his scholarship offering schools are recruiting Milstead (6-foot-6 and 290 pounds) for offensive tackle.

As a junior at Washington (D.C.) Coolidge, Milstead received all-league honors. He anchored an offensive line that helped earn a 9-3 record and lead Coolidge to the Washington, D.C. championship game.
