WR Williams talks Dawgs

Recently Georgia has recruited top talent from all over the country and this year is no different. One of the positions Georgia is looking at is wide receiver, and there is a player from Pennsylvania the Bulldogs would like to have. Maurice Williams, a wide receiver from Erie, earned all-region honors in both offense and defense last year. Here is what he said about Georgia.

Dave McMahon -- You have received a lot of offers, who are some of them?

Maurice Williams -- Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Syracuse, UConn, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State and a few others.

DM -- Who is recruiting you at Georgia?

MW -- Coach Johnson, David Johnson.

DM -- What do you like most about him?

MW -- I feel comfortable talking to him. He says a lot of good things about the program. I like what he says.

DM -- Have you met Coach Richt yet?

MW -- No, not yet.

DM -- What do you like about Georgia?

MW -- I like their team a lot. I watch them a lot on TV. I would like to make an official visit down there if I can.

DM -- You play a few positions, where are you being recruited at?

MW -- Wide Receiver. I am playing quarterback and defensive back this year, but I am being recruited at wide receiver.

DM -- Does it matter what position you play at the next level?

MW -- No, whatever one I can help out at.

DM -- Besides Georgia, you have mostly northern schools on your list, does location matter with you?

MW -- It doesn't matter. Wherever I feel most comfortable is the place for me.

DM -- Who are your favorite players?

MW -- I liked Jerry Rice a lot. For quarterbacks I like Peyton Manning.

DM -- Any current or former Bulldogs?

MW -- I was a fan of D.J. Shockley.

DM -- When would you like to make a decision on where you want to play?

MW -- Before the season if I can... if I can't it's not a big deal.

DM -- Thank you for your time and good luck with your decision.
