Adebayo likes Dawgs, but can't camp

ATHENS – Georgia's annual summer camp, which features some of the top players in the South interested in the Bulldogs, will not include one local player interested in getting an offer from the Dawgs. The camp runs from July 7-8.

Bo Adebayo, a defensive tackle from Collins Hill, won't be Georgia's upcoming camp he said this weekend. Adebayo said he will more than likely attend South Carolina's camp in the coming weeks.

"I am getting a lot of letters in the mail, but I have not gotten any offers yet," Adebayo said. "I am excited for this upcoming season because I think I can show what I can do."

In the next year, Adebayo will need to add weight to move to defensive tackle – the position most think he will play in college. Right now he tips the scales at 245, well short of the weight of a typical college defensive tackle.

Adebayo said he is interested in Georgia, but that he has not gotten an offer from them, and that he is getting the most interest from the Gamecocks right now.

"I think they are on the verge of offering me," he said. "I don't know if they just found out about me, or if they have known about me for some time."
