CBS picks up Georgia-Florida

ATHENS – CBS Sports will televise Georgia's annual game with Florida on October 28 as a part of a double header, the network said in a release. CBS's pickup means the Bulldogs and Gators will square off on that network for ten of the last eleven years. Kickoff is slated for 3:30.

Georgia-Florida will follow Notre Dame's annual contest with Navy, which is being broadcast at noon. No other Georgia game has been picked up by CBS at this point, but the Bulldogs' annual contest with Georgia Tech usually is televised by the network when it is played in Athens.

Other SEC games already scheduled for CBS are: A double header on September 16 with LSU at Auburn kicking off at 3:30, and Florida at Tennessee kicking off at 8:00; LSU at Arkansas will play at 2:30 on November 24; and CBS will carry the 2006 SEC Championship on December 2.

In the only other announced TV game, the Bulldogs will play South Carolina on ESPN HD on September 9 in Columbia.
