Peach State Star Clears the Air

Chris Little is a National Hot 100 offensive lineman out of the state of Georgia that is also the #1 ranked offensive lineman in the South. Little has been tough to reach this summer, but we caught up with him today, and he was ready to dispel some rumors.

Chris Little has been busy working and working out with his Twiggs County team this summer getting ready for another run at the playoffs. When a player of Little's caliber is quiet for an extended period of time the rumors start to fly. A hot one last month was that he had committed to Clemson.

We caught up with the National Hot 100 offensive lineman, and he talked a little recruiting.

"I've been real busy this summer," said Little. "I've been working a job, and then working out with the team at nights, so I haven't had much time to do anything with recruiting this summer. That's why I haven't been able to go to any camps or anything this summer."

While he's been too busy to go to see colleges and camps this summer, college coaches have still been in touch with the big man from Middle Georgia.

"I haven't really narrowed down my list of schools yet. I guess in no order they would be Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia. I'm interested in USC too, but they haven't really been in touch with me much. Out of region though, I'll definitely visit Notre Dame."

What of the rumors of Little heading to Clemson?

"No, that's not true. The last time I went to Clemson was for Junior Day. I haven't had time to go visit anywhere this summer with my job and working out with the team. I haven't been hiding from phone calls or anything, I've just been busy working."

Little has been working hard with his team for good reason. He is the anchor of a very green line.

"We're having a good summer, and hopefully we'll have a good year. I'm the only returning starter on our offensive line."

Twiggs lost to eventual State Champion Lincoln County last year in the playoffs, and they're going to need a big contribution from their big left tackle.

Colleges are expecting him to be an anchor for their offensive line in the future, and it looks like four schools have the inside track for Little.
