Catching up with Bulldog Legacy

Scout.com caught up with one of the best athletes in the state of Georgia today. Morgan Burnett is an athlete out of North Clayton High School and is the brother of former Georgia Bulldog and current North Clayton Coach Cap Burnett.

While Morgan Burnett has pretty much kept mum on who he is leaning towards, there are a lot of signs that point towards the Georgia Bulldogs.

Burnett is the brother of former Georgia Bulldog Cap Burnett. The head coach at Burnett's high school is Don Shockley who is the father of 2005 Scout.com SEC Offensive Player of the Year D.J. Shockley

Burnett is a terrific athlete that plays quarterback and wide receiver for North Clayton, but he projects on defense on the college level. Burnett hasn't taken much time to think about recruiting as of yet. He has been busy getting ready for his senior season.

"We have been working out every day this summer," said Burnett. "We come in and lift and then throw against other schools. We get to go against a lot of good players in the passing leagues. We throw against Creekside on Thursdays."

Morgan is very talented and plays quarterback and some wide out on offense, but it is on the defense where his preference lies.

"I like playing safety the most. Georgia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee have been in contact with me the most.. They are all pretty much neck and neck."

Morgan plans to take all five official visits but, hasn't nailed down a top five yet.

"I am focused on my senior year and would like to trim the list down towards the end of our season."
