Indeed Michael Turner was told to lose a lot of weight. However, the way that he did it is a little out of the ordinary.
The dramatic weight loss was do, at least in part to pneumonia. Turner got pneumonia after he pitched in a high school baseball game. But according to Turner most of his weight loss has come from busting his hump.
"I have been working really hard. And I have lost 30 pounds. I went from about 265 to about 235."
Turner indicated that he will be playing tight end at Georgia in the fall.
"They told me that they would have to see how I was doing during two-a-days as to if I want to redshirt or not."
Turner said that he expected to arrive in Athens on July 8th. He indicated that he was extremely excited about the upcoming season as well as the Georgia experience as a whole.
"I am just really excited and ready to go."
