Bulldogs Back in Hunt for 4 Star RB?

Jonathan Dwyer is a big time running back from Kell High School in Marietta, Ga. Dwyer is ranked the # 14 RB in the entire Country by Scout.com. Georgia was all but out of contention for the big time back. Did a recent visit to Athens change his mind? We caught up with him and he had these things to say.

"We have just started football practice and are excited about this season," said Jonathan Dwyer about his Kell Longhorn team.

Dwyer is one of many returning starters coming back on offense but feels his teams defense will be fine as well.

"We graduated a lot of starters on defense but, we have several guys that got game experience last year."

Dwyer was able to visit and camp at several schools this summer and has compiled a very strong top five.

"My top five is Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Florida State."

The Georgia Bulldogs were probably a team that was slipping in Dwyer's eyes, but a visit to Athens last week got the Dawgs back in the mix for this talented player.

"I visited Georgia last week and came away with a better understanding of how the coaches feel about me. My parents also enjoyed the visit. Georgia moved up after the visit"

Dwyer had this to say about his top five.

"They are all pretty even. I will have a better idea after I take some more visits to those schools. I like the academics at all of the schools, and I feel that if I work hard and show that I am ready to play, the coaches will play me."

Dwyer doesn't plan to drag the recruiting process out very long.

"I am thinking about making a commitment in November but definitely well before signing day."

Dwyer is a big back with home run speed. He is fully qualified and is about as close to a can't miss prospect as they come between his talent and character.

ScoutTV was present at two of Dwyer's games last year in order to bring you this clear, digital video of him in action:
