Another Big Georgia DT likes Dawgs

Earlier this week BorderWars made mention of the fact that the state of Georgia was absolutely loaded with defensive tackle prospects. Warren Gooden is another huge interior lineman that is a force to be reckoned with. He already has one major offer, but names a different leader.

Profile 2003 - Warren Gooden (DT)

Americus High School may have lost some talented players to graduation in 2002, but don't look for the state power to drop off too much with huge defensive tackles Cedric Boone and Warren Gooden. Gooden, like Boone, is unbelievably strong. His 390 bench and 630 squat would set records at several division 1 schools. He moves exceptionally well for a player of his size, and he has the compact frame to control the middle of the line of scrimmage.

Gooden has attended summer camp at Auburn and currently has an offer from the Tigers, but he lists the home state Bulldogs as his current leader. "Georgia is number 1," said Gooden. "I was supposed to go up there with Cedric for the camp on July 20th, but he had a family reunion to go to. He was my ride up there, so I didn't get to go. They're my favorite though. I also like Auburn, South Carolina, and UCF."

Gooden and his teammates are already on the practice field getting ready for the upcoming season. "We go every day at 4:00 right now. We lost some players last year. I'm going to be playing some offensive guard and tackle this year. We're going to do whatever it takes to get better."
