There's a Catch

Kenneth Harris was penciled in as the starter coming into the season. Since then he has lost the starter's role, but he keeps on going. He is actually leading the Bulldogs this year with 5 receptions. Last year he had 11 including a 40-yard TD vs Boise State. The 6'3" receiver wants to prove he deserves more playing time as he tells me in this interview.

Dave McMahon -- You are not starting anymore, but you are still getting a lot of playing time... do you use the fact that you are not starting as motivation?

Kenneth Harris -- Every time you have to work hard and do your best.

DM -- Is this team a wide receiver by committee?

KH -- We are all capable receivers and we consistantly push each other to get better.

DM -- Georgia hasn't passed a lot this year, but there is a lot more to the position than catching the ball...

KH -- You have to know how to block. Coach Richt and Coach Eason stresses blocking a lot.

DM -- What part of your game do you have to work on the most?

KH -- Blocking

DM -- What are your strengths?

KH -- I have a big frame and I can jump high.

DM -- Which wide receiver has the best moves?

KH -- It has to be Mikey Henderson.

DM -- What about speed?

KH -- Either Demiko Goodman or A.J. Bryant.

DM -- Who is your favorite wide receiver of all time?

KH -- Michael Irvin was my favorite.
