Colorado Week: Wednesday News and Notes

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's fall practices.

INJURY UPDATE: Defensive tackle Ray Gant (foot) has been ruled out for the game, and wide receiver Mario Raley (elbow) was downgraded to doubtful on Wednesday.

"The swelling could go down overnight, and (Raley) could play," Richt said.

Offensive lineman Chester Adams returned to practice after finally determining that stomach ulcers are what has been giving him problems since the spring.

"I've got some medicine and talked to the nutritionist about not eating so many spicy foods, and we're going to tee it up Saturday," he said. "Knowing is a whole lot better than not knowing."

Senior offensive tackle Daniel Inman aggravated a right ankle injury Tuesday and was limited Wednesday but expects to be full speed against Colorado.

"It's not too bad, just something I've got to work through," he said.

Wide receivers Mohammed Massaquoi and Mikey Henderson, both of whom missed last week due to hamstring injuries, practiced Wednesday and are probable, Richt said. Henderson will not return punts.

ANOTHER FIRST: Colorado coach Dan Hawkins has never been shut out in his 10-plus years as a head coach.

"It was a long time since (Steve) Spurrier had been shut out, too," Gant said. "We'll see."
