Walter Hill is one of the top Two Sport athletes in the State of Georgia. Being that he was committed to the Georgia Bulldog Basketball team for months, he had fallen off the grid so to speak with football recruitniks. ScoutTV went to see Hill play on Friday night, and we have a lot of media to show you including his highlights from Friday night as well as two games from his junior season at receiver and more games from his senior season.

Hill told us on Friday night that his first love is basketball, but he felt that his long term future would be on the gridiron, and at 6-4+ and 206 pounds, Hill poses more mismatches on the football field than he does on the hard court.

As a junior, Hill looked like a basketball player playing football. His physical gifts were apparent as he would out jump, out run, and out reach what were basically out matched opponents. But when the play wasn't for him or not going his way, he tended to drift and not make a concerted effort to become part of the play. He did a lot of watching while he was on both sides of the ball.

As a senior, Hill has been moved to quarterback after having played wide receiver and safety as a junior in addition to returning punts. Hill is part of every play, and it's easy to see the football player coming out in him. He attacks the defense more, and ironically, he is more physical running the ball as a quarterback than he was making tackles as a safety. Hill isn't afraid to lower his shoulder into a defender now.

Hill never looks like he is going full speed, but that is nothing new. I had completely forgotten that I went up to East Hall in 2004 and ran a mini combine until a former coach reminded me on Friday when I saw him. Hill was just a freshman at the time, but he caught my eye then too. Road Trip East Hall Link.

Hill kind of glides on the football field. The highlights that he puts up are tantalizing. He has tremendous physical ability. It's just a matter of him deciding how good he wants to be, because the sky is the limit with Mr. Hill physically.

See him in action in several presentations from ScoutTV including several games as a senior as well as two games as a junior at wide receiver. Hill had over 200 yards receiving against Laney prompting one East Hall coach to tell me "that's the game that sold them (college coaches) on him playing football."
