Some Things You Might Not Know

I never expected what we've have seen in the last few weeks. Yes, I have seen Georgia lose to Vanderbilt before and yes I have seen Georgia lose to Kentucky before. But I have never seen that happen in the same season. That is because it has only happened twice in Georgia's history. Once in 1956 and again in 1973. Here are some more things that you might not know.

Here is the breakdown of the running backs...

Kregg Lumpkin -- 111 rushes, 603 yards, 4 TD... 13 receptions, 77 yards... 1 kickoff return, 11 yards... 125 total touches, 697 yards, 4 TD

Thomas Brown -- 62 attempts, 256 yards, 1 TD... 7 receptions, 71 yards... 15 kickoff returns, 379 yards, 1 TD... 84 total touches, 706 yards, 2 TD

Danny Ware -- 56 rushes, 241 yards, 3 TD... 12 receptions, 165 yards... 2 kickoff returns, 30 yards... 70 total touches, 426 yards, 2 TD

Brannan Southerland -- 46 total touches, 8 TD

Here is the pass distribution so far...

To the WR... 74 receptions (51.0%)

To the TE... 24 receptions (16.6%)

To the RB... 46 receptions (31.7%)

To the QB... 1 recepiton (00.7%)

There are 7 teams that Georgia has over 40 career wins against... this season the Bulldogs have lost to three of them (Vanderbilt, Florida and Kentucky.)

Georgia has defeated one of them (South Carolina.)

Georgia still has to face two of them (Auburn and Georgia Tech.)

The only one that Georgia will not face this year is Clemson.

Matthew Stafford has thrown 12 interceptions this season...

Do you know that the record for most interceptions thrown by a Georgia quarterback is 29 by Zeke Bratkowski in 1951. Unfortunately it is also a SEC record.

Zeke Bratkowski also played in 132 NFL games and was Bart Starr's backup in the Green Bay Packers' first 2 Super Bowl wins.

He was also an assistant coach in the league for 26 seasons.

Georgia has Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Do you know that Georgia and Auburn played 63 games in their series before playing at Auburn.

Georgia is 12-9-2 in Auburn.

In 1960, Georgia played their first game in Auburn. Before that the two teams played in Atlanta, Macon, Montgomery, Savannah, Athens and Columbus.

Georgia and Auburn actually played 39 times in Columbus. Georgia led in that location 21-16-2.

This is also the first time in the series that it will be broadcasted by Lincoln Financial/Jefferson Pilot.

ESPN has broadcasted this game 10 times (11 if you count ESPN2.) Both ABC and CBS have shown the game 6 times and TBS has aired it twice.
