Wynn Makes Decision

Standout defensive end prospect Jarius Wynn made his decision Monday night.

Milledgeville, Ga.--The Georgia Bulldogs picked up their 22nd verbal commitment Monday night when defensive end Jarius Wynn gave his word to Bulldog coach Rodney Garner.

"I just made my decision," Wynn says. "I'm going to Georgia."

A standout defensive line prospect at Georgia Military School, Wynn chose Georgia over South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee and others among the dozens of offers he received.

At 6-4, 270 pounds, Wynn is a four-star prospect and has his academics already in order. He says the he decided on the Bulldogs with South Carolina and Auburn finishing just behind. He took an unofficial to Florida and officials to South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, and says that location was the selling point.

"Everybody was saying the same thing that I could come in and start and about the academics," he explains. "Everything was basically the same. Everybody was saying the same thing so I'm just going to stay closer to home.

"I was treated like everywhere else I went to," Wynn says of his Nov. 24 official visit to Athens. "It wasn't that different."
