Irvin commits to Georgia

ATHENS – Georgia's recent success getting commitments from Georgia Military players continued when Corvey Irvin committed Monday night.

"I committed to Georgia tonight," Irvin said over the phone.

Irvin joins teammates Jarius Wynn and Vince Vance as commitments from GMC to Georgia. The trio will reportedly sign with the Bulldogs on December 20, and, because they are junior college players, report to Georgia's bowl practices soon thereafter.

"Coach Garner he was always straight with me and he told me and my parents if I work hard I can start," Irvin said.

The Augusta native said he is excited that he gets to continue his close relationship with Wynn for the next two seasons.

"Jarius and I have a kind of chemistry going," Irvin said. "To be able to go up there and play side by side is great."
