Half and Half (part ii)

If you read my article from yesterday than you noticed the Bulldogs had a good first half against Alabama and a bad second half. Well the Lady Bulldogs must have watched that game, too and studied what Alabama did. Georgia trailed 33-21 at the half and came back to defeat Florida State 70-65 in a game played in Duluth, Georgia.

The Lady Bulldogs shot horribly in the first half. Georgia shot 25.7 percent from the floor, 15.4 percent from the 3-pt range and 33.3 percent from the free throw line.

In the second half they turned things around. They shot 46.7 percent from the floor, 25.0 percent from 3-pt range and 70.4 percent from the free throw line.

Individually they excelled, too. The four leading scorers for Georgia all did better in the second half.

Despite playing just 28 minutes total, Tasha Humphrey scored 25 points. In the first half she scored 12 while making 5-for-10 field goals. In the second half, she scored 13 making 4-for-9 field goals. But she was also 5-for-7 from the free throw line in the second half as well.

Angel Robinson took charge, too. First half... 2 points (1-2 FG)... second half 14 points (4-7 FG). Don't forget about the 2 guards. Ashley Houts... 0 points (0-2 FG) in the first... 9 points (2-2 FG) in the second and Janese Hardrick... 0 points (0-6 FG) in the first... 8 points (2-5 FG) in the second.

Now if there was only a way where you can combine the men's first half and women's second half in their games this weekend...
