Kinlaw visiting Dawgs - Tide rolling in, too?

HOMERVILLE – With Georgia's recruiting winding down one South Georgia player still plans on visiting this weekend.

Eugene Kinlaw, a defensive lineman from Clinch County in extreme South Georgia, will visit Georgia.

"I'm going up there this weekend," Kinlaw said. "They have talked with me about playing up there. Coach Ball come down here and talked with me about what they want me to do at Georgia."

Kinlaw indicated that the Bulldogs are interested in the possibility of signing him, and sending him to Hargrave to get his academics in order. Kinlaw led the Panthers to the A State Championship Game, and got tons of attention after his dominating performance at the Georgia Dome Game in the Panthers' 16-13 win over Athens Acadamy.

Kinlaw ended 2006 with 54 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Georgia, however, wasn't the only school who noticed Kinlaw at the Dome – Troy State, Arkansas and Mississippi State have all offered him. It's Alabama, however, that offered most recently.

"Alabama is interested in having Eugene as a visitor next weekend," Clinch County head coach Jim Dickerson said earlier this week.
