Furr visits Athens, but really likes Clemson

ATHENS – Carver quarterback DeRon Furr talks about his day in Athens yesterday at Georgia's junior day event.

Quentin Grant: How was the junior day?

DeRon Furr: I liked their facilities and their strength program. I liked a lot of stuff Georgia has – the dorm rooms. It was really impressive. I went to their game with Auburn yesterday, too, and that was cool.

QG: Who are you hearing from right now?

DF: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Clemson, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State Michigan and Duke.

QG: Who has offered?

DF: (My high school) Coach has told me that I have offers, but I am not sure which schools they are from… He won't tell me. He told me that he will let me know when the time is right.

QG: Are you interested to know which schools it is?

DF: He will drop hits a lot of the time. He will say, "Now they are watching you right now."

QG: You got any idea who it might be that's offered, or any of them that you are hoping it will be?

DF: Probably Clemson and Georgia.

QG: Do you have a dream school that you want to go to?

DF: Yeah, I really want to go to Clemson.

QG: Do you plan on going to combines or camps in the near future?

DF: I do. I want to keep getting better. I want to learn what I need to do in order to do that, and I think combines are one way to do that. I have a lot of camps in mind, but I really need to narrow it down.
