Wilson to visit Dawgs soon

This weekend Christian Wilson will get s good look at what Michigan has to offer.

Soon, however, he will be taking a hard look around the South to see what's going on down here.

"I am going to visit both Clemson and Georgia in a few weeks," he said. "I would not mind playing in the South because you can tell there are a ton of athletes down there."

Christian Wilson is one of the most coveted recruits in the nation. He can name 33 schools who have offered him a scholarship. Most of the schools like him at linebacker, but that's not the only spot he's getting looks at.

"Some coaches want me to play linebacker. Some, like LSU, say they want me to play safety," he said.

At 6-3, 235 Wilson could fit into a lot of spots.

"Most schools don't care the position," he admitted. "Some are recruiting me at three different spots – linebacker, H-back and fullback."

Tennessee, in fact, has singled out Wilson as a prime candidate to play H-back for them.

"When I went down to Tennessee I was shocked with how nice it was. It was nicer than I thought it would be. Tennessee is really recruiting me as an H-Back," he said.

The Vols are in Wilson's top five along with Ohio State, Michigan, Florida and in-state Penn State. But, Wilson says, that list can change, and Georgia hopes to sway him soon.

"I have always liked Georgia because they are always winning," he said. "I always watched them when I was growing up. I just have always been interested in Georgia. I always watched them because they had a winning program. I wouldn't mind playing for a winner like that," he said.

As far as the attraction of the major programs to Wilson, it's simple – his film has gotten around.

"There are a couple of hits I have in my film they have seen where I am crushing people. I think that's one reason why they are all interested in me," he said.

Interested indeed.
