ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia football team practiced for two and a half hours Wednesday afternoon at the Woodruff Practice Fields. The players were in full pads for a full-contact workout as the team held its sixth practice of the spring.
"Today was really competitive," said Georgia
head coach Mark Richt
. "It was a physical practice and the guys did a really good job. They were excited and had a lot of energy and toughness. They looked like a bunch of guys that love football." Both the offense and defense was getting after it. We are still making mistakes on a few things that can get you beat but they can be corrected. Overall it was a very good day."
Richt also commented on the development of the offensive line.
"Things are more competitive on the offensive line right now than I thought they would be," said Richt. "Today we created space for our runners and gave our quarterbacks some time. I was happy with the percentage of times that it looked bright."
Georgia's next session is schedule for Friday, March 23. The team will practice a total of 14 times and will end spring workouts with the annual G-Day game on April 7.
