Holton's visit moves Dawgs into top 3

Wakulla High (FL) safety C.J. Holton was shocked and then excited two weeks ago when he received an offer from Georgia.

The good vibes carried over on his visit to Athens Saturday for G-Day.

"It was real good," he said. "I liked it." The visit moved Georgia up his list and Georgia is now in his top five along with Florida, FSU, Miami and LSU. He said Georgia ranked third after his very good visit, "one of my best."

He visit included chats with head coach Mark Richt and defensive coaches John Jancek and Willie Martinez.

The coaches all told him how Georgia could use help in the secondary, Holton said.

"They said they really need help and I could be depending on," he said.

Holton had already visited before, but this was the first time he had seen Georgia play and his first visit to Sanford Stadium.

He will take his official visits in-season and will look to visit Georgia again and keep in touch. Don't expect a decision soon though. He said he will decide around signing day.

Holton visited Georgia with teammate and best friend Nigel Bradham.

"We are trying to go to the same place," he said. "But whatever happens happens."
