Garner takes a close look at Finley

Dee Finley may live in Auburn, but his mind is wide open about the schools recruiting him.

"All of the other schools I am looking have a lot of prestige like Auburn and Alabama do," he said. "There are a lot of people that want me to go to Auburn, but it's my decision."

Finley's decision may be more difficult as time moves on and more offers roll in. Miami is the most recent school to offer him, but Georgia offered him a week ago and was at his practice today.

"Georgia has recently started recruiting me real hard," the safety said. "They offered last Wednesday and Coach Garner was up here today and was watching me practice."

Still, the Bulldogs are only recently getting into the fight for one of the top players in the South. Georgia, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Louisville and Oklahoma have all offered the Auburn native. He says four schools stay in touch with him the most.

"Florida, Auburn, LSU and Alabama talk with me the most. They all tell me that they want me to come play for them," he said. "I went to LSU about a month ago, but I've not been back out since."

Although Georgia's offer has just recently arrived and the Bulldogs are recently showing an increasing amount of love, Finley said he's intrigued by what Georgia has to offer. He admits that he compares his playing style to that of one former Bulldog All-American.

"I have to go visit Georgia because I like how they produce number one safeties like Greg Blue. I play like their safeties, so I want to see what their campus is like," he said. ranks Finley as the 51st best player in the South. He is ranked the fifth best safety in the South.'s top Southern safeties
