Ward no longer committed - looking around

What seemed like a stellar recruiting class for Georgia is starting to look a little shaky.

Coffee County Offensive lineman B.J. Brand decommitted days ago, and he's got company. Martin Ward, a running back from Mt. Zion who committed to Georgia last November, is looking around now.

Ward was not as firm as he had been in the past of late, and has decided to take a look around. Clemson, Florida and South Carolina have all offered Ward a scholarship. Brandon Boykin, Ward's cousin committed to Georgia in March and planned on playing with his relative in Athens.

Ward's decommitment may open the door for Heard County running back Dontavious Jackson, who said Monday that he is concerned about the number of running backs Georgia has committed and already in Athens. Richard Samuel, who could play running back or linebacker, is currently Georgia's only committed running back.
