Dawgs finish 12th in Director's Cup

ATHENS - Spearheaded by two national championships, the University of Georgia's athletics program finished 12th in the annual U.S. Sports Academy Director's Cup competition which annually measures the nation's most successful athletic programs.

Georgia won national titles in gymnastics and men's tennis but also finished second in men's golf, fourth in women's tennis and women's indoor track and field, fifth in women's swimming, eighth in women's golf, and ninth in women's outdoor track and field.

In the last ten years, Georgia has finished among the nation's top 12 on nine occasions and among the nation's top ten seven times.
