When asked about Georgia's upcoming game with New Mexico State, Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt said that he "has a lot of respect for them."
New Mexico State gave South Carolina a difficult game in August, and Richt fears that the Lobos could do the same to Georgia.
"I saw what they did to South Carolina's defense with a quarterback that can throw and run the option very well."
Richt went on to add that NMSU has good team speed and that they "seemed to be very disciplined."
Although Georgia's strong defense has held up this year against the likes of South Carolina and Clemson, Richt said that he was concerned about what New Mexico State's offense can do.
"Its going to be a great challenge for our defense."
Offensively Georgia will have to compete with a NMSU defense that can do it all.
"Their defense is very versatile. They play man, they blitz and play zone, and they'll play a lot of the two-deep zone schemes. They are going to give us a lot more things to think about and that is going to force us to be sharper."
