Inside the numbers vs. Georgia (as seen in the 2007 Dawg Post Season Preview):
That's the Vols' record against ranked foes at home since 2002 – not good. One of those wins was against Cal in the first game of the 2006 season, a 35-18 win over the stunned Bears. The other win came against the ninth-ranked Fighting Zooks of Florida, a game the Vols won 30-28. The rest of the match-ups, against #7 Florida and #13 LSU in 2006, #5 Georgia in 2005, #9 Auburn in 2004, #11 Georgia in 2003 and #20 Florida and #1 Miami in 2002, all resulted in Tennessee losses by a margin of 15.6 points a game.
