08/18/2007 - Georgia Practice Report

ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs began a busy day with a 60-minute practice on Saturday morning. Following the session, the team was slated to take a variety of photos for different uses during the upcoming season before trekking to Sanford Stadium for annual Picture Day festivities with fans in the afternoon.

"We got some things done," head coach Mark Richt said. "We went 10 periods with some kicking and then we finished up with some conditioning for any kind of discipline from the scrimmage."

Richt said he was not ready to discuss any potential changes to the Bulldogs' depth chart following Friday afternoon's scrimmage.

"I'm sure the coaches might have some things in their minds, but we haven't discussed anything yet," Richt said. "We graded film fairly late last night, got up and met with the players immediately. Now we're crashing through Picture Day. We'll probably get some time to talk over the weekend. Maybe by Monday we'll have some things, however it changes."

Fans actually began lining up for Picture Day festivities, which are slated for 1:00-5:00 p.m., on Friday evening. Due to demands, tickets for lines for both Richt and Uga VI are distributed to guarantee the minimum number of fans who will have opportunities to have photos taken with each. Those were gobbled up in seven and a half minutes when dispersal began at 9:00 a.m. Joe D'Angelo of Athens was the initial entrant in Uga's line 13 hours earlier at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The first person in line for Richt was Wayne Parker of Jackson, Ga., who arrived at 4:30 a.m.
