"They're not kicking the ball to me any more," said Route with a laugh. "So my return yards are down this week. I had over 100 yards receiving against Redan last week, but most of the starters only played the 1st half. We have a big game this week coming up against Tri-Cities. They're undefeated too."
Route has exceptional quickness; he had the fastest shuttle time at one of the bigger camps this summer. His ability to do it all on the field has drawn the attention of several schools, but he is still waiting on his first offer. "Right now I like Georgia, Florida, MTSU, Marshall, and Tulane the best right now. Georgia is probably my favorite though. If they were to offer me a scholarship, that's where I would go."
Route's value comes in his versatility and work ethic. He does it all on the field for one of the best high school teams in the country, and he is a standout student in the classroom.
