ATHENS The 24th-ranked Georgia football team held a spirited 90-minute workout on Monday at the Woodruff Practice Fields.
The Bulldogs began preparations for Saturday¹s game at Vanderbilt
. The Bulldogs are 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the SEC, while the Commodores are 3-2 and 1-2.
³We had a good practice to start off the week,² Georgia coach Mark Richt said. ³All of our focus is on Vanderbilt. We are not looking back. Our goal this week is to get better every day so that we can play our best game against Vanderbilt.²
Richt announced before practice that Knowshon Moreno (offense), Dannell Ellerbe (defense), and Brian Mimbs and Prince Miller (special teams) will serve as captains against the Commodores.
The Bulldogs travel to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. Georgia¹s match-up with the Commodores will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
This will be Georgia's third appearance on ESPN2 this season. Georgia¹s games with Oklahoma State and South Carolina were televised by ESPN2. Georgia¹s all-time record on ESPN2 is 14-3.
