ATHENS - The 20th-ranked Georgia football team held a two-hour, full-pads workout on Monday at the Woodruff Practice Fields.
Coming off an open weekend, the Bulldogs strapped on the pads a day earlier than usual as they continued preparations for Saturday¹s game in Jacksonville against ninth-ranked Florida
. The Bulldogs are 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC, while the Gators are also 5-2 and 3-2.
It rained intermittently during Monday¹s practice, but not enough to thwart the Bulldogs¹ plans.
³I¹m glad the weather held off,² Georgia coach Mark Richt said. ³I thought we had a really good day of practice. We were able to get done the things we needed to get done. It¹s important that we practice like want to play on Saturday.²
