Troy Week: Monday News and Notes

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's fall practices.

WHO'S THE STARTER?: Mikey Henderson still is the third-leading punt returner in the SEC, but he's not sure he still is the Bulldogs' starting return man.

"I have no idea," he said.

Henderson did not play against Vanderbilt due to a pulled hamstring. He was replaced by Thomas Flowers but expected to return to the starting job against Florida last week. However, Flowers held onto the job, returning one kick for 8 yards.

"There's no disappointment," said Henderson, who has averaged 13.5 yards on 15 returns this season. "I'm just wondering. If there's anything behind it, I guess (the hamstring) is what it would be, but I don't have a clear cut answer to that."

MORENO HONORED: Freshman tailback Knowshon Moreno was named the SEC's offensive player of the week Monday, two days after he rushed for a career-high 188 yards against Florida. Moreno's 35 plays (33 rushes, two receptions) accounted for 56 percent of the Bulldogs' offense in a 42-30 victory.

Moreno is third in the SEC and third among the nation's freshmen with 100.9 rushing yards per game.

He was sore Sunday but is not concerned about wearing down even if he had to carry the ball 30 times in each of the next four regular season games, he said.

"You have to prepare yourself, keep your body healthy," he said. "I think I'll be all right."

AUBURN TV: Georgia's Nov. 10 game against Auburn in Sanford Stadium will be televised by CBS at 3:30 p.m.

TICKET ORDERS GOING OUT: Ticket orders for postseason tickets were mailed to William C. Hartman Jr. Fund donors from Georgia's ticket office Monday. All games in which Georgia could be selected to play, including the SEC championship game, will be included on the order form.
