Troy Week: Thursday Practice Report

ATHENS - The 10th-ranked Georgia football team held final workouts on Thursday for their meeting with the Troy Trojans. The practice session, held at the Woodruff Practice Fields, lasted 90-minutes in helmets and shorts.

Kickoff between the Bulldogs (6-2) and the Trojans (6-2) will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Prior to Thursday's practice, Georgia head coach Mark Richt met with the media and stated that the mission for this week is to keep the momentum going.

"It's really kind of amazing that the season is just about over," Richt said. "It's less than a month for the regular season. We've been up and down and up and down. Now we want to try and stay up. That's the mission this week to try and keep it going."

Richt also noted that this week's preparation for Troy has been good and that he plans on dressing the entire squad for the game.

"I thought the level of enthusiasm was really good," Richt noted. "I thought our scout teams did a nice job, and as a matter of fact we are going to dress the entire squad. I told them earlier in the week that my goal was for everyone to dress, and the only way you end up not dressing is if you didn't pull your weight this week as far as scout work. That's not just walk-ons, but scholarship guys too. I just wanted everybody to do their part this week, and we felt like everybody did."

When asked about the status of any injuries, Richt said that senior split end Sean Bailey (knee) maybe could go this weekend, but senior strong safety Kelin Johnson (knee) and senior tailback Thomas Brown (collarbone) would not play against Troy but that both are possible for next week's Auburn game.
