Auburn Week: Thursday News and Notes

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's fall practices.

INJURY UPDATE: Running back Thomas Brown (collarbone) and defensive tackle Kade Weston (ankle) will play Richt said Saturday. Safety Kelin Johnson (knee) also is expected to be ready to return from a one-game absence.

STONEWALL RICHT: For the third time in as many days, Richt dodged the question of his team's jersey color for Saturday's game. A request by the seniors for all Georgia fans to wear black to the game has started a rumor that the Bulldogs will wear black jerseys rather than their traditional home red.

"You're going to have to refer to any answer I've given to this point," Richt said Thursday. "I'm tired of the question."

FATIGUE FACTOR: Auburn, which traditionally saves an open date for the week prior to the Alabama game, will be playing its 11th game in 11 weeks on Saturday.

"Our guys are in pretty good shape considering this will be our 11th straight game," Tigers head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We're a little bit mentally burnt out but other than that they are fired up."

QUOTABLE: "We looked at it 100 times in the summer, what could we have done differently and sometimes the other coaches call things that work against what you call. Things just snowballed for them. It got going and we couldn't stop them." – Tuberville on last year's loss to Georgia.
