5 Dawgs selected to Scout FR All-American

ATHENS ­ Georgia's Knowshon Moreno, Trinton Sturdivant and Clint Boling have been named First-Team selections to the Scout.com All-Freshman Team.

In addition, the Bulldogs¹ Rennie Curran was a Second-Team pick and Chris Davis was an Honorable Mention selection.

Moreno, a redshirt freshman from Belford, N.J., has rushed for 1,273 yards for an average of 106.1 yards per game and 12 touchdowns. He is the 12th Bulldog in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards, including six 100-yard games. Moreno has received several national and conference player of the week honors this season.

Sturdivant, a native of Wadesboro, N.C., started all 12 regular-season games at tackle for the Bulldogs. He became the first true freshman to start at that position in a season opener since Mike Fellows in 1989.

Boling, a true freshman from Alpharetta, started the final nine contests for Georgia. He also logged some time at tackle this season.

Sturdivant and Boling have helped the Bulldogs roll up more than 379 total yards and 31 points per game this season. Sturdivant, Boling and their line mates have surrendered just 15 sacks this year.

Curran, a true freshman from Snellville, has appeared in 10 games, including four starts. Curran ranks fourth on the team with 46 tackles, 39 of which were solos. He rolled up 13 tackles in the win over Kentucky.

Davis, a redshirt freshman from Jefferson, started all 12 games at offensive guard. Davis also logged some time as the Bulldogs¹ reserve center.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season 10-2, winning each of their last six games. Georgia will learn its bowl destination on Sunday.
