Pre-Bowl Week: Thursday Preactice Report

ATHENS - Georgia head coach Mark Richt addressed the media before Thursday¹s practice, which was the team¹s first practice since beating Georgia Tech on Nov. 24. The No. 4 Bulldogs (10-2) will find out which bowl they are playing in and who they will be playing on Sunday.

On the college football games during the coming weekend:

³This weekend will be interesting. It would be really fun if we really knewwhere we would go if so-and-so did this to so-and-so. I think that would make it even more exciting. Obviously that is not how it works and there are so many things involved that we really don¹t know anything for certain.²

On the different bowl options Georgia has:

³I will be excited about any opponent we play or any bowl we play in and I think our players would feel the same way. I¹ll be curious about what is happening in Saturday¹s games, but I won¹t be watching all of them.²

On the practice schedule until the bowl game:

³There is no set number of practices that we will have before the bowl game. We will get in between 13 and 15. We will go today, we¹ll go next Thursday and then start up again next Friday. But some guys will also graduate and have commencement next Saturday so that will also affect the schedule.²

On Georgia¹s injury situation:

³Sean Bailey had a little work done to clean up his knee this week and we expect him to be back for the bowl. Kregg (Lumpkin) was supposed to be ready if we had to play this weekend so I would expect he would be back as well for the bowl.²
