Sugar Bowl Week 3: Monday News and Notes

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's Sugar Bowl practices.

GRADES LOOKING GOOD: Richt would be "very surprised," he said, if the Bulldogs lose any players due to academic ineligibility before the Jan. 1 Sugar Bowl.

"Nothing is final yet, but they are trickling in," Richt said. "There have been a couple little disappointments in a class or two, but right now we are not in fear of anybody missing."

ONE MORE TO MILESTONE: If Georgia wins this game, it will give its seniors 40 wins for their careers.

"It means a lot," senior center Fernando Velasco said. "To average 10 wins for four years, I can't tell you who has done that. Not too many people have done that in their careers. It's a blessing."
