Lady Dawgs kick off SEC play

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's look at the Lady Dawgs' game with Ole Miss.

No. 10 Georgia vs. Ole Miss

7 p.m., today, Stegeman Coliseum

Records: Georgia 13-1, Ole Miss 6-7

Last game: Georgia lost 65-55 to Xavier, Ole Miss beat Central Michigan 81-70 OT

The scouting report: This is the first Southeastern Conference game for both teams, and it's the first time this season the Lady Bulldogs have had the chance to avenge a loss. Georgia dropped its first game of the season on Sunday, a disappointing 65-55 decision to a 9-5 Xavier team. Senior forward Tasha Humphrey leads the Lady Bulldogs in both scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg). Ole Miss' record is a bit deceiving. The Lady Rebels, who advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament last year, have played a very difficult schedule. Ole Miss has three scorers who average double digits per game, led by Shawn Goff's 13.1 average.
