You go to high school games wanting to be "wowed" by the prospect that you are visiting that night. Let me tell you that ECI's Washaun Ealey did just that the two times I watched him play live. Most folks saw him take off against Clinch County in the Georgia Dome, the site of the 2007 Georgia A Semifinals. Some saw him take out a talented bunch of players in Wilcox County the next week.
What some missed in the first round of the playoffs was the matchup with Baccari Rambo and Seminole County. With no shortage of playmakers, Seminole was a formidable opponent for the Bulldogs, but thanks to Ealey and the rest of the ECI group the game was a blowout.
In this video you can watch Ealey take it the distance twice and score another touchdown in a goal line situation. Watch him break Rambo's attempted tackle as he takes it the distance one one play. On the rest of the plays notice just how difficult it is to get Ealey on the ground. Playing running back isn't just about breaking tackles or taking it the distance, but having those two things in your arsenal is a great thing to have.
I don't have anything to do with Scout.com's rankings, but I would expect Ealey to be considered a five-star prospect from the start. His numbers are too much, and his film is too impressive to be anything less than that at the start of the season.
