DL Abry Jones Profile
6-4, 250 pound defensive lineman Abry Jones will take an unofficial visit to Tigertown this weekend.
"I am going to Clemson on Saturday," he said. "I am coming up for junior day. My mom is coming with me on the visit. I have been on a couple of visits already this year. I have gone to Georgia and Florida."
What impressed Jones with the Dawgs and Gators?
Georgia: "It was a good visit. I went up there for junior day. I also went to a few games there last year."
Florida: "It was like a nice small town. They really like their football players down there."
When asked about his favorite schools, Jones responded, "My favorites right now are Georgia, Florida, Miami and Clemson."
What will be important to the talented defensive lineman when he selects his college destination?
"I am looking for a school that will help me graduate in three years. I will be looking for a low depth chart at my position. I want to have a good chance to play as a freshman," replied Jones.
The Northside (Ga.) standout could play a couple of positions at the next level.
"Teams are looking at me for defensive end or defensive tackle. I would like to play defensive end, but the way my body is changing I will look for a school with a good defensive tackle coach. That is most likely where I will end up playing," said Jones.
Don't expect an early commitment from the Georgia standout.
"I am going to wait until my senior year. It will probably be around the middle of the season," he added.
