Georgia adds #14 to the class of 2003

While it's impossible to completely close the borders on a state that will put over 100 players in to division 1 football next year, Georgia is doing a pretty good job of getting the ones they want. Nick Jones of Bowdon High School became public commitment #14 for Georgia, and they're all Georgia players.

Georgia has picked up a commitment from an offensive line prospect that was a pretty well kept secret to recruiting services, but Nick Jones was well known amongst the college ranks as he had a pretty impressive stack of offers. At 6-3 and 275 pounds, Jones projects as an interior lineman for Georgia whether it be guard or center.

"I think he could play either guard or center right now," said Bowdon Head Coach Dwight Hochstetler. "He's got really good feet and he's quick off the ball. He had offers from Maryland, Kentucky, Clemson, and I'm pretty sure one from Auburn. He plays both ways for us right now. He took some unofficials to Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia before making a commitment to Georgia yesterday."

Bowdon is 5-3 on the season and is looking to make a run at the playoffs soon. With several injuries, Bowdon will be counted on to play an even bigger role in the Red Devil's plans.
