The complaining from Georgia fans will probably continue next Saturday night after the Auburn game; win or lose. That is because Mark Richt made is clear Sunday that he is not yet done with the rotating quarterback system.
It appeared that the system had seen its final rotation after DJ Shockley fumbled his third snap from center. Ole Miss recovered the fumble and Shockley did not play another down after that.
"I lost my nerve on it," said Georgia head coach Mark Richt.
Richt said that he planned on using Shockley the rest of the game, but that he feared that a quarterback coming off of the bench in rainy conditions was a risky proposition. "Looking back on it, I don't know if that was the right thing to do or not," said Richt.
But, Richt was quick to point out that David Greene and Shockley will continue to rotate next week when Georgia tries to win the SEC East at Auburn.
"Shockley will play against Auburn. We will definitely have a plan to get him going this week," said Richt.
