"It's real exciting," Commings said today. "I really can't wait to get up there."
Some Bulldog fans may be wondering just how long Coming will stay, however, as the Major League Baseball Draft is the following weekend. Commings is not considered as much of a threat to leave Georgia football for a shot at baseball as fellow signee Xavier Avery is, but the Augusta native said that if he is picked high enough he will consider leaving.
"It would have to be in the first two rounds," Commings admitted.
Most consider that a stretch and expect the athlete to play for the Dawgs this fall. On the baseball front, however, Commings said he was impressed that the Bulldogs won the SEC.
"I know that the are hosting a Regional this weekend," he said. "I think that's great."
Commings is expected to play in the secondary for Georgia this fall. He played quarterback, safety and wide receiver for Westside while in high school.
