Dawgs to Visit Camp Sunshine

ATHENS - University of Georgia head coach Mark Richt and a delegation of football players will make visits to Camp Sunshine on June 18 and June 25, where they will interact with children battling cancer as part of the Bulldogs¹ annual summer community service projects.

The children at Camp Sunshine will participate in various football-related drills and have the opportunity to get autographs from and have their pictures taken with the players and coaches.

Camp Sunshine enriches the lives of children with cancer and their families through recreational, educational and support programs throughout the year. Camp Sunshine programs allow children and families to share similar experiences and to participate in activities that promote normal childhood development as they cope with the challenges of childhood cancer.

Since 1983, Camp Sunshine has served children and families throughout the state of Georgia and is located in Decatur. The 26th Annual Summer Camp Program will be held June 15-28 at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Ga. For more information call 404-325-7979 or visit www.mycampsunshine.com.
