Jags Sign Another 2008 Prep Player

It took until nearly the middle of August, but Bainbridge defender Ramadon Jimoh-Osi finally found a college home. Luckily for the South Alabama Jaguars, Jimoh-Osi kept in touch throughout the summer and when it all came together he decided to join the upstart program in Mobile

Ramadon Jimoh-Osi was part of a talented Bainbridge High School team that went deep into the Georgia High School Association playoffs. Teaming with his cousin Nick Williams, who is a freshman defensive back with the Georgia Bulldogs, they formed a potent duo both offensively and defensively.

While Jimoh-Osi's impact was felt as he took snaps at quarterback, running back and receiver (he caught the winning touchdown from Williams in the final minute of their second round playoff victory), it was on the defensive side of the ball where he truly made himself known. Playing both strong safety and linebacker, he racked up 118 tackles (74 solo), 20 tackles for a loss, 13 quarterback pressures, four interceptions (one returned for an 80+ yard touchdown), and one fumble caused.

Now that he's advancing to the next level of football, Jimo-Osi will focus on manning the strong safety position for the Jaguars. Due to academic issues, he will not be on scholarship this year, but a solid year in the classroom at USA may make him an early contributor on the Jaguar's first defense.
