"Me and Zach Mettenberger watched the game together and hung out before the game for a while. After the game was over me and a couple of the other recruits went back to the locker room and listened to Coach Richt talk to the team. That was really cool."
Gilliard also liked the Uga VII ceremony that took place before the game.
"That was very exciting. I liked the new Uga and the way Georgia made such a big deal out of it." Valdosta got off to a 1-0 start on Friday night with 49-7 win.
"We played well. They scored on our JV team so that was nice. I had eight tackles which everyone said was good. My coach told me they were running away from me all night."
Gilliard and his teammates will be in action again on Friday night and stellar linebacker hopes to get back to Athens as soon as possible.
