Quintin Banks: It's very nice. It's a lot of fun. It's real exciting. I'm just doing everything I can to try to help the team. Just being out there on the field – it' a long time coming – it's a lot of fun. PM: Do you know yet what your role will be?
QB: I have no idea. I'm just trying to get on the field anyway I can. Field goals, extra points, anything. Whatever coaches need me doing. If they don't need me, fine. I'm just doing whatever I can to help the team. Whenever they need me to go, I'll go.
PM: How tough was it to go down with the injury?
QB: It was very disappointing. But at the same time everything happens for a reason. I think it makes you a stronger person. It keeps you humble. Just knowing that you've got to work every day and that football isn't your only option. You've got other things in life going for you. You have to take everything one day at a time. Coaches always tell us to seize the moment. I try to tell young players 'work today' because you never know when it's going to happen again.
PM: What exactly happened on your injury?
QB: I tore my MCL on one of the inside drills in camp. Someone just rolled up under me and bent it back, kind of hurt pretty bad.
PM: How was the rehab?
QB: It's been tough. They push you pretty hard. That's a good thing that they push you, so anybody can get back. It's been tough, and it's been a grind.
PM: I saw Brannan Southerland on TV doing some rehab work with the Wii, did you use that?
QB: I tried to do the Wii a little bit, but I didn't have good enough balance at the time. Brannan's got a little bit better balance than people would think. We use that sometimes.
PM: Alabama's offense has been very successful running the ball this year, how do you get ready for an attack like that?
QB: They're a great rushing team. They're a great team all around. It's a real big challenge. You have to prepare for everything. Knowing they're going to pound the ball at you, it's going to be a real strong SEC battle. They're just great rushing the ball. You've got to get your mind right and get ready to go because it's going to be a hard fought battle.
PM: Getting pressure from just the front four seems like it might be tough against their line, what do you have to do to compensate?
QB: You just have to play hard. Those boys over there are going to come off the ball strong. They've got a lot of first round picks I think on that line. Just a lot of strong people on that offense. That whole team period, you've got to play hard and play fast and see where you end up at the end.
