Austin Shepherd: The blackout is great. It showed that the fans love UGA football and I think they were kind of disappointed with the team's performance.
PM: What did you think about the team getting down 31-0 at the half?
AS:I was kind of disappointed and I was actually surprised that they came back that much.
PM: What coaches and recruits did you talk to?
AS: I talked to coach Searles, the o-line coach. I talked to Dallas Lee a little. He just asked me how we did Friday night against Mill Creek.
PM: What did you think about the offensive line's performance against Alabama?
AS: They did pretty decent. I know they have that big nose guard that weights like 360. They did pretty good. They maybe could have done a little better, but for the most part – because Bama's huge – they contained them pretty good.
PM: Are you surprised at how young Georgia's line is?
AS: With Ben Jones playing center, they're pretty young. They're going to be few more commits think. They need some offensive line commits.
PM: Who are some other schools recruiting you, and what's next for you with recruiting?
Shepherd also said he'd like to go where he can play as soon as possible, and thinks that Georgia's youth would give him a good chance to play early in his collegiate career considering he's still got two more years to develop as a high school player. Shepherd also said that Georgia is definitely a school he likes, and he's been a fan since he was a kid as he is a Georgia native.
