Even though things didn't turn out well the prize commit left Athens impressed with the trip.
"We missed Gameday because we arrived a little late, but we went to Butts Mehre and ate. We watched highlights from last year's Blackout and then went to watch the Dawg Walk."
Gilliard wasn't able to talk to Coach Richt Saturday night but he was able to speak with Coach Jancek and Coach Bobo.
"The whole experience makes me look forward to coming to Georgia next year."
Gilliard and his Valdosta teammates took a close 7-0 loss to Warner Robbins on Friday night but he was happy with his play.
"I had eight or nine tackles and three tackles for loss. The game was really close. Our offense fumbled on the two and we held them the first three plays. On fourth down I met their running back in the hole and he just barely got in."
