Patterson Wanted to Take in Georgia

Jamal Patterson has been committed to Stanford for a while now but has chosen to take some of his visits. He was in attendance at the Georgia/Alabama game and had some nice things to say.

"The Blackout was great. The whole trip was really good experience. The crowd was crazy during the game."

Not only did he like the atmosphere but he took in a few of the other Georgia gameday traditions.

"We got there a little late and had trouble parking but I got to see the Dawgwalk which I really liked. We also spent some time down on the field and I got to talk with the other recruits and players."

The obvious question is whether or not the trip to Athens had any effect on Patterson's commitment to Stanford.

"I'm still committed to Stanford but I wanted to be able to be around the atmosphere at Georgia. I really enjoyed the trip. I even got to watch one of my former teammates that play for Alabama."

Georgia had cooled on their recruitment of Patterson, but a couple of big performances have recently jumped back in the mix.

"I didn't talk to them for a long time, but I had a good game a couple of weeks ago and they started calling my coach again."

Patterson has also visited Georgia Tech on two occasions and will be going to Alabama for an official visit next Saturday.

On the year Jamal has 16 catches for 370 yards and 2 touchdowns.
